About me

After over 30 years as a nurse I took the opportunity to study Fine Art at UCLAN. Art has always been part of my life but studying at degree level has pushed me to learn and grow in confidence. I discovered that I like making Marquettes and printing and that not all my ideas are daft though some are difficult to accomplish. I am not easily put off by difficulties and am always willing to have a go.

I have used old fence wood as an allegory for land enclosure and its lasting effects, starting with denying access and ending with climate change. This is part of what many are now calling the Anthropocene and marks a time when man is the main cause of change on this planet.
I have created images using frottage and photographs which I manipulated in procreate , these images were then screen printed onto both sides of Kozo 25gm paper creating a print sandwich where the full image can be seen when the paper is hung away from the wall.
