About me

I have recently completed my fine art degree at the University of Central Lancashire. Another qualification that I achieved before coming to university is, University of Arts London Diploma as well as an Extend Diploma in Art and Design. These qualifications helped me gain new skills which I have utilised and expanded on throughout my degree.
Within my art practice I work on materials I have found, whether that be pictures that I find or objects. I find it very interesting taking something that has been used, loved or even damaged and making it new and creating a new purpose for it.

Opera rose consists of a collection of images I have come across while looking in second-hand book shops in Preston. I became interested in collecting images from the late 1800s to the early 1900s and I have manipulated the images through a variety of methods. Each image is disturbed in its own unique way. I used several ways to disturb the images such as gesso, bleach, gel plate, sellotape transfer and opera rose pink paint.
