About me
Hello, I am Paul Hunter a 2D digital animator. I’ve been actively animating on websites such as YouTube and Newgrounds for over 14 years now and have created multiple animated videos and series that have been enjoyed by millions of people around the world.
I am a passionate and well driven animator that loves to create animations that ensnare people with rich worldbuilding lore, plot and I seek to someday work for a team that values telling a rich story such as PIXAR or Powerhouse Animation Studios.
My lifelong dream is to someday be able to live and work within the creative industry in the United States, while having the ability to teach and inspire the next Generation of Animators using nothing more than the internet.
I’m a holder of a BA (Hons) First in Illustration & Animation awarded by Lancaster University.
Creating an effective showreel is vital when the aim is to seek employment. My project is to create an unskippable showreel using animations Ive made over the period May 2021 to August 2022.
However, this idea was not my original intention. That idea was to create an emotional film themed around death and loss through the eyes of a child, using 9/11 as the core narrative theme. However, as the project moved along it became clear that I wouldn’t be able to create the film to a standard I would have liked, so took a risk and changed focus.
