About me

Studying Architecture at UCLan came from a desire to study the subject from a young age. Studying Maths, Physics and Design & Technology at college led me to enjoy making detailed, hand-crafted models and hand drawings.

Developing my software-based skills has been a very important skill I’ve established while studying at UCLan using programmes such as Revit, Sketch-up, Autocad and recently trying to learn how to use Photoshop which I will continue to work on over the following few months.

I have been able to further understand the importance of building environmentally friendly buildings using knowledge shared to us throughout the course and is something I would like to focus more on as I continue with my studies over the next few years.

Lowick Green in the Lake District provides the location for this project where we focus on the tourist and the migrant and how we consider the nature and the needs of place and these groups. A place within which to conceive and make artefacts of memory, relating to ideas of identity and place. Looking at how we can use architecture to encourage local production that invests in a more sustainable and circular economy and the language of creative and productive spaces.
