About me

I am a creative, passionate artist based in Preston. I began my studies at Plymouth College of Art, then deferred over to the University of Central Lancashire.

My passions lie within linoprinting and observational drawing. I enjoy the challenge of bringing life to seemingly lifeless, everyday spaces by filling my observational drawings with bright, bold colours and patterns. I tend to leave my linoprints in a clean, black and white state. University allowed me to explore these passions; with the right guidance, words of affirmation, and constructive criticism, I really feel as though I have found my voice in art.

I love walking and being surrounded by nature, I often take out a journal and draw my surroundings. The natural world inspires me every day; through the different shapes, colours and patterns of various foliage. I enjoy taking these aspects and applying them to my work in a unique way.

I feel as though my final project has been key in my artistic development. I really delved into what I’m passionate about, liminal spaces and everyday life. I began exploring the use of colour and line in my work, and how I can use bright bold colours to express how I see the world. This final project gave me the freedom to comfortably experiment with my drawing style, and to evolve my printmaking even further.
