About me

BA (Hons) Interior Design graduate 2021
Master of Interior Design graduate 2022

I’m an Interior Designer who is passionate about Environmental Design, with a keen interest in the natural environment drawing inspiration from organic shapes, materials, textures taken from vegetation and wildlife.

My project has been influenced by the ever growing global awareness of environmental issues which impact the natural environment, through design I am focusing on the benefits of a more natural sustainable design solution that can affect people’s health and wellbeing. My aim for this project was to create an inclusive space for children to learn, inspired by nature creating a design that can have added benefits to education and mental health.

“Design shouldn’t be used to exploit the environment. It should be used to make the world a better place. Sustainability is the only option, the alternative is destroying the world.” – Shreya Designs

To create a more inclusive space that can accommodate all types of learning. Somewhere that is adaptable to suit different needs keeping in mind sustainability and a nature-inspired colour palette. Research has shown that blue can have a dramatic impact on an individual’s mental state. The colour blue is often connected to calmness and serenity and creates a feeling of relaxation.
